Sustainable Theatre
Intrinsic Theatre is committed to following established protocols for operating as a sustainable theatre, and creating them in areas where these protocols don't yet exist, or can be improved.
We believe that sustainability is in everyone's best interest, therefore, we provide the information included below as an open-source library for our sister organizations as well as our patrons interested in learning more about our practices as well as increasing the sustainability of their own lives.

What is Sustainability/Sustainable Theatre?
The common, simplest definition of sustainability comes from the 1992 Brundtland Report for the World Commission on Environment and Development:
Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
We believe that sustainability goes beyond "being green" and offering recycling, but a comprehensive approach to theatre production. It is our aim to find a way to "do more good" instead of simply "do less bad."
